Youth

The Forks Youth Ministry exists to support parents of teenagers in their calling to shepherd and nurture their youth in the Christian faith. Its particular focus is to equip the youth to "come alive" and discover their identity, calling and mission as Christians in their teen years and prepare them to enter adulthood as mature Christian disciples.

The youth ministry hopes to connect teenagers with Christ, His Church and their community by proving ample opportunities for discipleship, fellowship and mission/service.

The Youth Group, led by the youth director and other adult leaders, meets at the Forks Church each Sunday evening from 6:00-7:30 P.M., inviting students in grades 6 to 12, to come for a time of fellowship, games, prayer and study of God's Word that probes questions and topics pertinent to Christian youth. A light snack is served at the beginning of each meeting.

Additional events/activities, such as winter retreats, all night lock ins, pool parties and movie nights, occur regularly to foster growing relationships among the youth and to engage in mission/service for Christ. Mission trips have been an annual tradition which allows the youth the chance to model Christ's sacrificial love for others by participating in service to others.
