Prophesy and How God Speaks to Us
Beginning Oct. 23 - led by Craig Shumaker.
Have there been times when you wished that you could sit in the same room with God and talk with Him about your situation? Most Christians would undoubtedly say, "Yes, I would love to talk directly with God!" What if we asked God this same question and He responded "Yes, I would love to give you some better guidance!" We will examine both Old and New Testament passages to examine the ways in which God communicates with humans. Our goal is to help increase our awareness of God's will.
NEW: Women’s Bible Study - "Esther"
Class Begins Sept. 11
Class led by Kathy Begian and Gail Craig
Class held in Red Room at end of downstairs Sunday School Wing
Synopsis:
Esther: It's Tough Being a Woman - a book by Beth Moore provides a personal study experience of this in-depth Women's Bible study of Esther - a profile in courage. Join us in a very personal examination of this great story of threat and deliverance as Beth Moore peels back the layers of history and shows how very contemporary and applicable the story of Esther is to our live today.
If you've ever felt inadequate, threatened, or pushed into situations that seemed overpowering, this is the Bible study for you. Just as it was tough being a woman in Esther's day, it's tough today. This portion of God's Word contains treasures to aid us in our hurried, harried, and pressured lives.
Old Testament Survey
Class begins Sept. 11
Class led by Bill Ensslen and Will Snyder
Class held in the upstairs Red Carpet Room
If you are not already in a Sunday school class, please consider this course, which will be an Old Testament Survey. The book that we will be using to help guide the study is called The Kingdom of God: A Guide for Old Testament study by Francis Breish, Jr. This Survey course will take us through the year. It’s a great opportunity to understand the flow and unfolding history of God’s great works of salvation. Hope to see you there!
