Our Most Recent Sermon

We believe expositional, verse-by-verse preaching is the best method for unleashing the truth of Scripture and allowing God to speak for himself from his word. The Westminster Shorter Catechism, Question 3, asks, "What do the Scriptures principally teach?" And it answers, "The Scriptures principally teach, what man is to believe concerning God, and what duty God requires of man." Our sermons, therefore, focus on both the doctrines and the duties of the biblical text. We want to believe all that God teaches and do all that God commands, for this is essential to living a Christian life that brings glory to God. So the Scriptures must be proclaimed and applied with clarity, boldness, precision, and power.

"Having purified your souls by your obedience to the truth for a sincere brotherly love, love one another earnestly from a pure heart, since you have been born again, not of perishable seed but of imperishable, through the living and abiding word of God" (1 Peter 1:22-23).
